Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Studio is operated by [ChilliBooth entity name] (ABN [ABN]). This policy explains what personal information we handle when hosts run a photo booth with us and when guests use it, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. What we collect
- Hosts: name, email, optional phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash), passkeys, billing status, and the events you create.
- Guests: the photos taken at the booth (the composed print and, where the event keeps it, the original frame), when they were taken, and a short code that links one session’s photos together.
- Optional delivery details: if a guest asks for their photos by email or SMS, the address or number they type, used only to send them.
- Technical data: device and browser information and IP address, for security and to keep the booth working offline.
3. How we use it
To run the event: compose and store photos, show them in the event gallery and slideshow (if the host turns those on), deliver them to guests, and let the host moderate them. To run host accounts and billing. We do not sell personal information, use event photos for advertising, or use them to train AI models.
4. AI styles
If a guest picks an AI style, that photo is sent to an AI image provider to create the styled copy. The provider processes it only to return the result.
5. Retention and deletion
Photos are kept for the event’s gallery period (for example 7 days on the free plan, 30 days per event, 1 year on Pro) and then deleted automatically. A guest can delete their own photos at any time from their “your photos” page; a host can hide or delete any photo from their event, or delete the whole event. Delivery email addresses and phone numbers are deleted with the event’s photos.
6. Where it is stored
Photos and account data are stored on servers we control. While a booth is offline, photos are held on the booth device until they upload, then removed from it.
7. Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to remove a photo you appear in, by contacting privacy@[chillibooth domain]. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
